The location is absolutely perfect, especially for first-time visitors to Shanghai. You’ve got tons of scenic spots, restaurants, cafes and subway stations right at your doorstep, so you won’t waste any precious travel time getting around.We showed up an hour before check-in, and the host was super kind to let us store our luggage for free. Downstairs there’s a wholesale market with a huge selection of travel souvenirs. Loads of popular attractions are just a short walk away. We visited the nearby City God Temple — with its stunning traditional Chinese architecture — along with Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and the POP MART Global Flagship Store. The night view around here is absolutely breathtaking.

Before heading to Shanghai, I had done my research. This accommodation is located near popular tourist attractions within a historic preservation district, so the building itself has a vintage feel and exudes a charming, old-world atmosphere. The room I booked was more affordable than other accommodations in the area, and I chose this place based on a recommendation from a Chinese friend.At first glance, the building’s exterior didn’t impress me much, but once I checked in, the interior decor and amenities far exceeded my expectations.The biggest highlight is its proximity to tourist attractions and the subway station—just a few minutes’ walk away. The location is extremely convenient, saving me on transportation costs and eliminating any worries about getting around in an unfamiliar city.

A truly impressive stay! This apartment is located in a great area right in the city center, and I was able to easily reach various attractions. The decor is very cozy, and the stay was extremely comfortable. The staff at Hills are very friendly, and I’ll definitely choose this place again the next time I visit Shanghai.
