Hidden inside Lane 848 on Kangding Road, this heritage lane house was first built in the 1940s in the “New Style Lilong” architecture unique to Shanghai. With its brick-and-wood structure, original steel-framed windows, timber floors, and textured gable wall finish from the 1930s, the home still carries traces of its past. It has been carefully restored to preserve its old charm while offering the comfort of modern living.
